Promoting Innovation and Enhancing International Cooperation in the New Era

Introduction:The 21st General Assembly of China Science Center of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences was solemnly held on November 11 which brought together the most renowned Chinese scientists, technical experts and social scientists.

Founded in 1996, China Science Center of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences (IEAS CHINA) has become an important high-level scientific and technological organization in China and on the world stage. It has been acknowledged globally by the scientific personnel over its 22-year development, and the annual general assembly is winning close attention by all sectors of society. Academician Prof. Vladimir S. Tikunov, the first Vice President of IEAS attended this event on behalf of Academician Prof. Valery Bondur, President of the IEAS which demonstrates the crucial role of China Science Center.

Academician Prof. Jiang Zhenghua, President of IEAS CHINA delivered a comprehensive work report. He said, the reform and opening up led by the Communist Party of China has created the best historical period for the Chinese nation since modern times. China''''''''s scientific and technological undertakings, like those in other fields, have achieved world-renowned achievements. We are striding into the ranks of innovative countries. National scientific research investment increased rapidly, the contribution of science and technology in enhancing economic and social development is increased significantly, the Chinese industries’ dependence on foreign technologies is gradually reduced, the number of applied and granted Chinese patents has been ranking the world first for six consecutive years, the scope of foreign exchanges are widened, forming a new "we are together" pattern.


The achievements made by China Science Center are widely recognized, in particular, it has made unique contributions in scientific international cooperation, interdisciplinary cooperation, integration of natural sciences, engineering technology and social sciences, and has made the economy, ecology, culture and society of Eurasian countries more coordinated and sustainable, and the self-managing mechanism for scientists work more efficiently.

All academicians agreed that President Xi Jinping''''''''s thought of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era marks a new stage of China''''''''s socialist modernization. It is our responsibility to enhance innovation, coordination, green development, openness and shared-interests and improve the scientific and technological content of the entire economy. By responding to President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative, China Science Center has launched the International Silk Road Academy of Sciences (ISRAS) which is quickly recognized by the international scientific organizations from different countries along the Belt and Road. The ISRAS not only injects vitality to the high-level development of countries along the B&R but also demonstrates China’s role in promoting human development.




During this event, our work priorities are discussed and a group of scholars with profound academic achievements have been elected as IEAS academician candidates. This meeting was co-presided over by three Vice Presidents, Prof. Zhang Jing’an, Prof. Ma Junru and Prof. Liao Ke. Academician Dr. Zhao Xinli was elected Secretary General of IEAS CHINA. Prof. Huang Tiejun, Head of Department of Computer Science and Technology of Peking University gave an academic report on AI.
