IEAS Academician Prof. Zeng Yixin is appointed the Director of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China

    IEAS Academician Prof. Zeng Yixin is appointed the Party Secretary and Director of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China on 28th March 2018.



    Prof. Zeng Yixin, IEAS academician, CAS member, TWAS member and PhD in clinical medicine, once studied in University of South China and Sun Yat-Sen University, and served at Guangdong Academy of Medical Science, Guangdong General Hospital after graduation. After pursuing higher education in Japan and USA, he worked at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC) and served as the director of State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China. 

    He has been serving as the vice-president of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) since August 2010, and was appointed the member of the Leading Group of The Advisory Committee on Medical Reform of the State Council in April 2011. In August 2011, he was appointed the President of Peking Union Medical College, and president of Beijing Hospital in November 2015. In February 2017, he was appointed the deputy director of National Health Commission of China and was responsible for policies and regulations, science and technology education, health care, etc. 

    During his office in National Health Commission of China, Zeng pushed forward the General Doctor System and said only general doctor can save the Chinese medical system. Moreover, he also emphasized the building of a drug supply guarantee system.
